We are looking for highly motivated individuals with a drive and passion for caring, nurturing and developing young children
As the *L* *ead Infant Teacher *your responsibilities and expectations would include-
● Planning & implementing daily activities
● Utilize Developmentally appropriate practice methods *@ ALL times*
● Engage children in activities and play that stimulates their development (ex:
Large, small gross motor, cognitive, language and emotional developmental activities)
● Ensuring professional development requirements are met, more specifically 16 hours of training per year.
● Implement monthly curriculum given
● Appropriately supervise children and staff in keeping children safe
● Making sure teacher to child ratio is always met
● Conduct child assessments and facilitate parent-teacher conferences
● Maintain a professional self-image
● Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, sitting up and down, lifting and carrying of children (potentially up to 75lbs or more), constant movement on your feet and circulation throughout the classroom
● Mopping, sweeping, disinfecting, cleaning (to include but not limited to: bathroom, kitchen, dishes, floors and toys),etc
● Serving meals containing various ingredients +/or Warming Bottles
● Staff must also possess the ability to remain calm while successfully assessing and solving problems in high stress situations
● Possess strong work ethic, be dependable, punctual and have minimal absences
\*\*All staff are required to demonstrate flexibility.
Staff scheduling will be based on the needs of Little Dreamers Daycare, as well as the employee’s classification.
The actual hours worked may change according to center needs.
There may be times when a staff member will need to work in an alternative classroom that differs from their normal schedule.
*Education Requirements*
● Candidates must be 21 years or older
● Possess an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development or a Bachelors in Early Childhood or Child Development or related field.
Or 12 semester hours in related field
● At least 3 semester hours or 4.
5 CEU’s in infant toddler development
● A high level of personal integrity and professionalism
● The capacity to motivate and lead fellow teachers in order to yield to the highest developmental performance possible from all students
● Be willing to submit to various background checks.
*The background checks will be completed by the Department of Human Services and Michigan State Police*

● The ability to give constructive feedback to facilitate student and staff growth
● The openness to receive feedback on issues that will facilitate growth and achievement of both students and teachers
● CPR certified, First Aide, and Bloodborne Pathogen
● A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a child care setting
