BrightStar Care is looking for a knowledgeable Payroll, Benefits and Accounts Receivable Specialist to process and manage the company’s payroll and benefits for full time or part time employees and assist with the accounts receivable for the agency.
Applicants should be able to use ADP payroll software with accuracy and efficiency and be familiar with benefit enrollment and monitoring eligibility.
They are good with numbers and can be trusted with sensitive information.
They also have great communication skills to interact with employees and leadership.
Applicants should also be familiar with business accounts receivables including managing accounts, billing, and following up on outstanding balances.

The goal of the payroll and accounts specialist is to ensure personnel receives the correct compensation in a timely manner, monitors employee’s hours and status for benefit eligibility and keeps our agency accounts are current and accurate for effective business practices.

Responsibilities
Gather information on hours worked for each employee using agency reports
Calculate the correct amount incorporating overtime, deductions, bonuses etc.
with assistance of the agency systems
Manage benefits for staff that includes health benefits, 401k, PTO and more.
Managing annual open enrollment and end of year tax documents for staff and agency
Keep track of hour rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information etc.
Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and superiors
Prepare reports for upper management, finance department etc.
Assists operations dept/owner with weekly and monthly billing tasks
Following up on past due balances with customers
Tracking payments and deposits for up-to-date receivables
Requirements and skills
Proven experience as payroll specialist or payroll manager
Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices
Very good knowledge of legislation and regulations of the field
Proficient in using ADP and having a good sound understanding of technology.
Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality
Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail
Demonstrates efficiency and productive for time sensitive tasks
Excellent communication skills and customer service skills and professionalism with employees and customers
High school diploma or equivalent; BSc/BA in business, accounting or relevant field is a plus
