Neogen is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Tax and Accounting Intern.
This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in tax preparation, accounting practices, and the chance to work alongside experienced professionals, expand their knowledge base, and contribute to real-world projects.
This is a full-time opportunity that will work alongside the department for 12 weeks.
Location: Lansing
Hourly Wage: $20/hr
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Responsibilities:
Tax-Related Tasks:
Work alongside the accounting team to collect data for year-end, work on diagrams, building financial transactions
Work in the ERP system to put together document packets for audit support, data entry tasks, and work with different departments to help with physical inventory
Accounting Related Tasks:
Help close books on a global level
Help with consolidations
Various other tasks assigned by Supervisor
Requirements
Enrolled at an accredited university for year 2024
Senior status in accounting discipline
Financial systems or business systems experience
