Accountant

Come Be Part of a Mission that Matters! Neogen is looking to hire an Accountant that will work with global accounting and operations, applying principals of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports.
This position requires advanced Excel skills, attention to detail and good communication skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with US and Canada month end close process by reviewing accounts, performing variance analysis, reclassing items to budgeted areas, preparing assigned journal entries, and preparing various analytical reports.
Investigate and assist others within the company with questions on their reports.
Review and prepare bank statement reconciliations, including ensuring reconciling items are addressed in a timely manner.
Review and reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts and prepare audit workpapers.
Including (but not limited to: Intercompany accounts, bank reconciliations and all other General ledger accounts) Work with and provide information to internal and external auditors.
Journal Entry posting into multiple ERP systems for Multiple entities including checklists and audits for month end processing.
Provide backup and support for the new vendor review process.
Assist in the budgeting process.
Support other areas within accounting as needed.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
Education and Experience Bachelor's degree (B.
A.
) from four-year college or university or pursing with work related experience.
