The Deans office and the Department of Admissions and Student Life is seeking an Accounting Clerk II to assist with financial responsibilities and to provide extraordinary customer service for the College of Osteopathic Medicine.
This is a shared position in which the candidate will work 50 percent with each unit within the work week.
Admissions and Student Affairs: The duties include managing and assists in planning fiscal and administrative procedures directly related to student travel and other EBS transactions and other general business operations; Oversees internal financial accounts and controls; Process student travel and other department-related expenses; Use systems such as EBS and Concur; Evaluates current processes and assists with the implementation of business solutions; Analyzes data and report findings and seeks root causes and develops solutions and recommendations; other duties as assigned.
Dean's Office: Duties include pulling budget and reconciliation data/reports monthly using the Business Intelligence System.
EBS (Enterprise Business Systems) tasks including processing Transfer of funds – MOCF Ball; Process disbursement vouchers for college supported sponsorships as well as expenses/payments for the MOCF Ball/Student Impact Initiative; Process Internal Billings for college supported sponsorships; Process distribution of income and expenses; Process memberships; Process Ingham Osteopathic and Michigan Osteopathic Association annual dues; Order supplies via Marketplace, Amazon, or other locations as requested; Concur – PTA’s and travel reimbursements for dean and Kimberly as needed; Process reimbursements for out of pocket expenses; Process requisitions; Create/Update vendor info; Answer phones to assist the Dean's office team; assist with tasks to support the Michigan Osteopathic College Foundation and Student Impact Initiative duties/event; other duties as assigned.
Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills Knowledge normally acquired through a high school education; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in accounting, bookkeeping, records maintenance and/or experience in spreadsheet, word processing, and/or database software.
The job may require knowledge of technical or medical terminology and/or technical training related to the field of employment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired Qualifications Experience with systems including EBS, Concur, BI, Microsoft Suite.
