Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accouting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience preferred.
Have demonstrated knowledge of accounting operations in a medium or large organization, preferably with a Federal/State/local governmental unit.
Have demonstrated ability to prepare and interpret financial data.
Have demonstrated experience with personal computers, including spreadsheet and word-processing software.
Have ability to manage several tasks/projects at the same time.
Knowledge of grant accounting preferred.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Assists in the preparation or, adjustments to, and monitoring of department/program/grant budgets Completes assigned reports to various requesting departments/agencies.
Performs financial analysis to identify and correct problems, as assigned.
Assists with various tasks in preparation for the annual external audit.
Assists buildings/departments in understanding financial data and procedures.
Assists with monitoring of staffing levels in relationship to various budgets, as assigned.
Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear.
Sitting for long periods of time.
Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Regularly required to use close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
Must also have the ability to adjust focus.
