Auto-Wares has been providing the complete parts needs for service dealers and the motoring public since 1976.
Our Central A/R Collections team located in Lansing, MI is seeking a hardworking individual to join our team.
We are taking applications for a Full-Time Collections Clerk.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Abide by all Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act rules and regulations.
Function as a company representative in upholding quality customer service and a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiries.
Comprehensive knowledge of B2B collections Maintain high volume of daily collection calls and email communication with customer base.
Arranging for debt repayment or establishing repayment schedules based on customer’s financial situations.
Resolving unpaid balances, advising customers of necessary action steps and useful strategies for repayment.
Manage inbound and outbound collections calls and correspondence.
Explain options to customers to resolve past due amounts.
Maintain and update customer files to sustain data integrity.
Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills Process & Register Payments Expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR)Effectively analyze customer accounts and make decisions based on said analyses.
Performing various administrative functions for assigned accounts, such as recording address changes, sorting, filing, and answering correspondence.
High school diploma or equivalent.
AA or BS/BA in Accounting preferred 2 years commercial collection experience preferred.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Word Strong organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to identify issues and act independently to resolve them.
Team oriented.
