This position serves as the resource expert on laws and regulations for: Family Federal Education Loan (FFEL) public student loans; Michigan Alternative Loan (MI-LOAN) Program private student loans; student loan rehabilitation; total and permanent disability; and judgments.
Responsible for SLP’s adherence to the laws and regulations pertaining to these areas and interpreting and explaining student loan laws, rules, and regulations, and reviewing and analyzing newly enacted federal laws, rules, and regulations.
This position will analyze ongoing program operations and recommend modifications of policies and procedures for the Claims and Collections Section.
This position is responsible for training and quality assurance monitoring of both contract and State staff, including the creation of job aids and determining if additional training is needed.
*Education*
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
*Experience*
Three years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the experienced (P11) level in state service.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.
