Community Development to success is a faith based organization that offers a variety of opportunities for interns and volunteers.
As these two terms have been floating around for generations, we took it upon ourselves to adopt the term Development agents instead.
As a development agent you’ll develop practical, leadership and work-related skills.
While providing students in which we call Faith Members help becoming the best version of themselves within your field of expertise.
All necessary training will be provided to you.
The responsibilities may consist of but are not limited to providing students with the necessary tools and resources to help them succeed while helping students understand the strategies to be successful throughout school completion and real life experiences.
By assisting with tutoring or mentorship, offering small support groups (known as restoring the Peace)to combat against bullying and violence.
Help with job interview prep/ career knowledge, or college readiness, and help students prepare for testing, .
This service is also provided during the summer.
Those providing mentorship to older faith members, may be asked to engage and help youth complete homework, take them on outings and special events.
As you're being committed and fulfilling your obligations you will accumulate Faith hours which is a part of our reward program, which makes you eligible for a $1500 stipend award at the end of the program if all hours are fulfilled.
The responsibility of this role is to not only help faith members but to provide opportunities for college students, alumni's and people within our community to provide them a chance to make a difference throughout our community.
*Service areas include:* General Help (Fieldtrip participation, activities, workshops) Mentorship Tutoring Client Support Crisis Intervention (Restoring the peace) Transportation Assistance (Bus assistance) Childcare *DEVELOPMENT AGENT* The Role of a Development Agent in Fostering Positive Growth and Nurturing Children's Potential As a Development Agent, you play a pivotal role in providing children with a supportive environment that encourages their growth and development.
Your responsibilities include working with large groups of up to 50 students on a daily basis, with a student-to-agent ratio of 15:1.
You will assist with schoolwork, activities, field trips, and workshops, while ensuring that all program assignments are completed.
Additionally, you will help set goals for the next day and ensure that all children are accounted for and fed during and after each program day.
Your experience and expertise in classroom/childcare teaching will be vital in leading the way toward a brighter future for our younger generations – all while having fun! Responsibilities: - Provide one-on-one support and guidance to individuals in developing life skills - Implement behavioral therapy techniques to promote positive behaviors and independence - Create and implement personalized plans to address individual needs and goals - Utilize learning technology and resources to enhance the learning experience - Assist with tutoring in various subjects, including algebra, to support academic growth - Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for individuals with diverse backgrounds and abilities - Collaborate with other professionals, such as teachers and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care - Monitor progress and document observations regularly Experience: - Previous experience working with children or students in an educational or mentoring role - Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and strategies - Familiarity with deaf education or experience working with individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing is a plus - Proficiency in using learning technology and resources to enhance the learning experience - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to adapt teaching style to meet the unique needs of each individual We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages for our Life Skills Trainers.
