Community Development to success offers a variety of opportunities for interns and volunteers.
As these two terms have been floating around for generations, we took it upon ourselves to adopt the term Development agents instead.
As a development agent you’ll develop practical, leadership and work-related skills.
While providing students in which we call Faith Members help becoming the best version of themselves within your field of expertise.
The necessary training will be provided to you if needed.
The responsibilities may consist of but are not limited to overseeing the general safety of the school's campus.
As a hall monitor, you help provide a safe learning environment for the students, teachers, and other school staff.
Your job duties range from patrolling the grounds to intervening in fights to compiling reports on student behavior.
and ensuring halls remain clear and all students are in class.
This service is also provided during the summer for outings/ Field trips.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and supervise students in various settings, such as classrooms, playgrounds, or during field trips
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times
- Assist students with their daily activities and routines
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior
- Support students with special needs by providing individualized attention and assistance
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create a conducive learning environment
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Maintain accurate records of student behavior and incidents
- Follow established protocols for emergency situations
- Provide first aid or medical assistance when necessary
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children, preferably in an educational or childcare setting
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
- Familiarity with special education practices and accommodations
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to handle conflicts or challenging situations calmly and effectively
- First aid certification is preferred but not required
