Okemos Kids Club is looking for people with a passion for children who can build relationships with parents and staff.
We need high energy people who love to talk and play! If you prefer babies or preschoolers, we’ve got you covered.
If you want to hang with older kids, we can handle that too.
We’ve got programs for infants through 8th grade.

Here’s the thing though--you have to be at least 16 years old and be willing to undergo a background check.
Pay is $15.
21 per hour, mostly part-time work, some full-time options.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in your care
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and educational programs
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods
- Assist with personal hygiene tasks, such as diapering and potty training
- Monitor children's behavior and intervene when necessary to maintain a positive and respectful atmosphere
- Communicate with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom or play area
Skills:
- Experience working with children of various ages, including infants and toddlers
- Knowledge of childhood development and age-appropriate activities
- Ability to create a structured and engaging learning environment
- Strong classroom management skills to ensure a safe and productive atmosphere
- Excellent communication skills to interact with children, parents, and other staff members
- Patience, compassion, and the ability to handle challenging behaviors with empathy
- Familiarity with special education needs is a plus
- Certification or degree in early childhood education is preferred but not required
