Job Title: Church Nursery Worker
Reports To: Director of Children’s and Youth Ministries
Position Status: Part Time
Purpose: To provide dependable, safe, secure and nurturing care to the children ages 0-3 years while at church.
Show Christ to the children and families who are in need of nursery care during the worship.
Hours are Sunday mornings 9:00am-12:00pm, possible additional hours available occasionally.

Responsible for providing age-appropriate care which includes:
* Feeding
* Changing diapers
* Escorting children to the bathroom
* Maintaining a safe environment
* Putting children down for naps
* Holding children if needed
* Interacting with children through games, stories, play and prayer
* Displaying a kindness and hospitality to parents and children in all circumstances
* Assist parents in signing their children in and out, ensuring child leaves with appropriate adults.
* In the event of an emergency, notify the parent or guardian.
* Straighten the nursery room and clean any toys/beds before leaving the nursery.
* Report any issues to the Director of Children’s and Youth Ministries.
* Communicate absence or tardiness in advance by phone to the Director.
Qualifications:
* Experience in caring for children between the ages of 0 to 3 with the ability to adapt and interact with a variety of personalities.
* At least 18 years of age
* Satisfactory completion of background check
* CPR certification preferred
* willing to take Safe Church training and adhere to such policies.

* Dependability is essential.
