Our After School Assistance Program (ASAP) is designed to provide homework help, tutoring, engaging activities, and nutritious meals to students who need it the most.
*Responsibilities:* * Assist students with homework assignments, offering guidance and support in various subjects.
* Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions to reinforce learning concepts.
* Engage students in creative and fun activities that encourage exploration and self-expression.
* Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere where students feel valued and motivated to learn.
* Collaborate with fellow assistants to plan and execute engaging educational and recreational activities.
* Help prepare and serve daily nutritious meals to ensure students are well-nourished.
* Communicate with parents, guardians, and teachers to track progress and address concerns.
* Be a positive role model and mentor, inspiring students to set and achieve their goals.
*Qualifications:* * High school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred.
* Passion for working with at-risk youth and contributing to their educational journey.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles.
* Creativity and enthusiasm for designing engaging activities.
* Prior experience in tutoring, mentoring, or working with youth is a plus.
* Commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
