The Role: Senior Manager, FP&A
The Team: S&P Global Market Intelligence doesn't just provide essential information to our external customers.
Our Finance team supports the provides information, insights, and decision support to internal business partners to optimize financial performance and decision making.
The Impact: You will be a key business partner to the Chief Financial Officer and the finance leadership, and your work will make an impact on business growth, cost optimization, and the overall effectiveness of the finance team.
The team is responsible for budgeting, forecasting and partnering with other functions to drive analytics-based insight.
The team values collaboration and the ability to think critically while problem solving.
The global and dynamic nature of the business allows plenty of development opportunities to learn and grow within the role and the wider Finance team.
With strong leadership, attention to detail and excellent communication and influencing skills, you will support the execution of the management team’s key priorities and strategies.
Responsibilities: Key contributor to the annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes.
Lead role in data-driven analytical projects to support optimization of S&P Global Market Intelligence business performance.
Develop broader Finance team on best practices and process efficiencies and the systems and tools utilized by S&P Global Finance.
Analyze and develop financial projections and risks & opportunities.
Manage preparation and/or review of presentation decks for senior management and Corporate.
Develop and maintain comprehensive and transparent financial models of the business for the short and long term.
Work with the Strategy team to screen partnership and M&A opportunities and develop business case valuation models.
Support project work around financial systems implementation and optimization, process improvement, and automation.
Perform ad hoc analyses in order to help management make informed decisions regarding the short and long term objectives of the business.
What We're Looking For: Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
6 years+’ financial analysis experience.
Experience with tools Including Anaplan and Smartview EPM.
Strong skills in MS Excel (Pivot tables, V-Lookups) and PowerPoint.
Sound knowledge of financial techniques for planning, forecasting, and related analyses.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as a fully contributing member of a team.
Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
Experience supporting a large multi-national business, preferred.
Consulting, Corporate Strategy, Fintech, Data driven company experience, preferred.
Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only): S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $88,400 to $159,725.
Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographical location as well as experience and qualifications for the role.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits.
