Position Statement: The Accounting Analyst performs the accounting functions of The 4100 Group (T4G) and its subsidiaries, including companies held within the portfolio.
This position works with the CFO, Director of Accounting Operations, and the management of each company to provide financial accounting, reporting and analysis.
Summary of Duties: This position will report to the Director of Accounting Operations and will be responsible for performing the daily, monthly, and annual accounting functions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the daily accounting operations including banking, accounts payable and receivable, asset management, billing, journal entries and the maintenance of the general ledger system.
Performs monthly reconciliations, month and year-end closing of the books, consolidations, monthly and yearly financial statements and reports, and analysis of all financial information.
Coordinate and collaborate with subsidiaries and portfolio companies to ensure reporting needs are met and the proper analysis is performed and disseminated for strategic decision making and financial planning.
Create ad-hoc reporting when requested, and monitor and maintain all standard reporting.
Maintain the general ledger system and make necessary changes for any new companies that are acquired.
Assist in assessing the accounting system, accounting practices and internal controls of acquired companies.
Provides assistance to external auditors including preparation of audit schedules and answering of audit inquiries.
Requirements:
Position requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field and a minimum of five years of experience in corporate financial accounting and/or public accounting with an emphasis on accounting operations, financial statement preparation, and analysis, including consolidations.
Position requires the ability to analyze and solve problems using independent judgment.
