We are currently adding a Sr.
Accountant to join our team in Lansing, MI.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making
- Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Analyze variances and trends in financial performance
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and long-term financial plans
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and analyze financial results
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Present financial analysis findings to senior management
Skills:
- Proficiency in Power BI for data visualization and reporting
- Strong knowledge of investment banking principles and practices
- Advanced Excel skills, including VBA programming for automation
- Experience with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Familiarity with Sage / Intact or other financial planning software
- Knowledge of market research and analysis
- Strategic planning abilities to contribute to the company's growth initiatives
- Solid understanding of financial concepts, including profit and loss analysis
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work independently
- Effective communication skills to present complex financial information clearly
