The role of the Franchise Accounting Specialist is to serve as a knowledgeable and consultative support to our system of franchisees, their teams, and other Franchise Support Center departments in all areas of finance and accounting.

What You'll Do:
Essential Duties:
Assist franchisees in three different business models with transition to standardized chart of accounts, classes, and items/services to enable data capture, aggregation, and P&L benchmarking
Analyze data to identify gaps in adoption of standardized chart of accounts or other data anomalies
Engage with franchisees to encourage adoption of standardized chart of accounts and remedy transactional departures from standards
Foster discipline and consistency with financial record keeping throughout the franchise systems to emphasize timely and accurate measurement of P&L results
Calculate and analyze trends in top performers to identify best practices to propagate throughout the franchise systems
Participate in querying top performers to gain insight into most successful operational practices for each business model
Participate in compilation of results and content to be delivered in quarterly system reports
Coach franchisees and leverage internal colleagues to demonstrate the value-add proposition and foster change management
Identify areas where additional resources are needed to drive adoption and evolve program
Work in conjunction with other subject matter experts to offer observations and recommendations to improve franchise performance in a holistic manner
Respond to accounting inquiries from the franchise systems
Expand general accounting support offerings to franchise systems, in perpetuity
Other accounting/finance -related activities, as deemed appropriate by the Department Team Lead and/or Manager
What You’ll Bring:
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities (SKA) Required:
Extensive knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online including setting up Chart of Accounts, Classes, Items/Services, creating Invoices, custom reports, etc.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Great listening and organizational skills
Adept in problem analysis and solving
Possess attention to detail, initiative, and sound judgment
Ability to be resilient and adapt
Excellent customer service orientation
Ability to consult with independent business owners in impactful capacities
Technical aptitude and/or experience with integrated solutions a plus
Training or support experience a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Microsoft Power BI knowledge preferred
Education or Equivalent Experience:
Minimum 10 years advanced accounting experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred, commensurate experience will be considered
Strong financial analytical skills/experience required
