As a recognized resource, this position provides the primary support to the division, the financial coordination, program budget development, report preparation, and sub-recipient monitoring required by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP), Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP) and additional crisis response cooperative funding agreements for the Division of Emergency Preparedness and Response (DEPR).
The person in the position will review and analyze budget requests determining conformance to cooperative agreement standards.
This position will support sub-recipient monitoring and preparation of audit materials for all local health department, tribal health, and healthcare partner contracts.
This person will have advanced knowledge and represent the division in the utilization of state-level contract and financial management systems including EGRAMS, SIGMA etc.
This position supports contract development and management, working with the bureau financial specialist and section managers to assure compliance with applicable standards set by the State of Michigan, CDC and ASPR.
In addition, this position serves as a member of the MDHHS Public Health Emergency Response Team requiring 24/7/365 availability, responding to the Community Health Emergency Coordination Center (CHECC) during any preparedness trainings, emergency activations or exercises.

See instructions for attaching files here: Instructions EXAMPLE OF DUTIES EDUCATION: Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major with at least 12 semester (18 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: accounting, finance, or economics.
EXPERIENCE: Three years of professional experience providing a systematic review, analysis, interpretation, and/or evaluation of budgets, mortgages, loans, or other financial data, equivalent to a Financial Analyst, including one year equivalent to a Financial Analyst P11, Accountant P11, or Auditor P11.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION Position Location/Remote Office: The physical location of this position is 1001 Terminal Road, Lansing, MI 48906.
Based on operational needs and within established limits, remote work and alternate or hybrid work schedule requests for this position may be considered.
Selected candidates who have been approved to work remotely or a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan.
Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.
Employees will be provided computers to perform state work.
Phones may also be provided for necessary communications.
If working remotely, employees will be responsible for providing other components of a remote office at their own expense, including: A secure work location that allows privacy and prevents distractions.
A high-speed internet connection of at least 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.
Suitable lighting, furniture, and utilities.
