Budget development and implementation activities are conducted through five individual offices: Office of Economic Development (OED), Office of Education (OE), Office of Health and Human Services (OHHS), Office of Public Protection and Resources (OPPR), and Office of Budget Coordination and Development (OBCD).
OBCD coordinates the budget development and implementation functions across the other four budget development offices through the budget component of Statewide Integrated Governmental Management (SIGMA) and is currently looking to fill the lead Office Administrator role, serving as the director of OBCD.
As the OBCD Office Administrator, you will: Aggregate statewide data and unifying reports, conducting research and analysis of issues having statewide impact Direct more complex analysis and evaluation assignments involving interoffice and intradepartmental staff effort Coordinate automated aspects of the budget process through SIGMA with relevant State Budget Office staff, relevant state agencies, and key stakeholders Exercise experience, expertise, diplomacy, and judgement to advocate for optimal functionality throughout the annual executive budget process Online application must contain detailed work experience.

State Budget Office currently offers a hybrid work option which requires two days working on-site at the official workstation with the potential of up to three days remote work per week.
Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.
Work must be performed in the state of Michigan.
If you currently reside outside of Michigan, you must relocate to Michigan to perform the duties of this position.
