OBJECTIVE:
Associate Corporate Accountant Objective
To administer all functions of accounts receivable.
To facilitate the efficient flow of accounting functions related to processing of employee fleet expense reporting for the Insurance Companies, as well as daily and monthly processing for Community Service Acceptance Company (CSAC).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Associate Corporate Accountant Responsibilities
Administer all aspects, including analysis, of accounts receivable, which include retiree's group auto and affiliates, Farm Bureau Insurance agent payroll deduction, employee expense reports, fleet charge backs and other miscellaneous invoices.
This includes the reconciliation of several accounts within the general ledger.
Provide timely reimbursement of fleet-related expenses for employees with fleet vehicles.
Compile and process cost of automobiles leased by Farm Bureau Insurance and provided to eligible employees.
Prepare management reports on a quarterly and annual basis.
Provide information used by Michigan Farm Bureau Payroll Services Department for income tax reporting on W 2's.
Process CSAC invoices for agency bill policies in AMS.
Process direct bill policies into AMS, including both paper statements and electronic files.
Process CSAC cash and monitor due dates of direct billed policies and communicate with the agent and insured on late payments.
Monitor CSAC suspense list.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate Corporate Accountant Qualifications
Required: Associate's degree required.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree preferred.
Basic accounting experience preferred.
Basic Microsoft Excel, Access, Word and Great Plains skills preferred.
Note: This is a Hybroid position working in the Farm Bureau Home Office, located in Lansing, Michigan (Monday, Wedensday, and Thursday required), and remotely.
