Tax Preparer

We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join our local East Lansing CPA firm as a _Tax Preparer_ to help meet our ever-expanding client needs.
The ideal candidate would have 2+ years recent public accounting experience, as well as possess a positive attitude, great people skills, ability to prioritize and organize various activities and complete several simultaneous tasks with strong attention to detail and accuracy, strong work ethic and enjoy working in a team environment.
Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other business field * 2+ years recent public accounting experience * CPA designation or pursuing is a plus.
* Ability to prioritize and organize various activities and complete several simultaneous tasks with strong attention to detail.
* Ability to self-start, strong work ethic and enjoy working in a team environment.
Responsibilities: * Preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns for partnerships, corporations, and individuals.
* Client bookkeeping and preparation of financial statements utilizing QuickBooks®.
Time management, discretion, and confidentiality are required.
Attention to detail a must.
QUICKBOOKS® EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
CCH ProSystem fx® Tax software experience preferred but not required.
This is a small CPA firm with a half dozen staff.
Job duties vary depending on need regularly.
Must be flexible and adaptable to change.
