Position Summary:
Assists Manager and Director in general accounting activities.
Completes accounting functions requiring knowledge of general accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and a broad understanding of the overall corporation.
Prepares internal/external analysis of data to assist senior management in their decision-making and/or problem resolution.
Performs daily, monthly and yearly accounting activities, assuring quality accounting work, meeting or exceeding all deadlines.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities As Assigned:
Prepare monthly journal entries in an accurate and timely manner.
Perform analysis on balance sheet and income statement accounts.
Assists with the preparation of audit schedules.
Identifies problems relating to job processes and recommends solutions.
Job Specific Expectations:
Prepares and enters into the ERP system monthly journal entries for the general ledger to ensure accurate recording of business activity.
Functions as a team member toward goal of producing accurate financial reports on an abbreviated time schedule.
Recommends methods of increasing efficiency and accuracy.
Conducts detailed analysis and/or reconciliation of assigned general ledger accounts.
Independently verifies account balance as appropriate.
Coordinates preparation and submission of audit workpapers for review by Manager and Director.
Accumulates data and prepares daily statistical report.
Demonstrates outstanding customer service.
Exhibits positive attitude and enthusiasm in the department and to colleagues and customers.
Must be willing to put in time necessary to get the job done timely and accurately.
Demonstrates effective time management skills to ensure the completion of work assignments and quality of services provided.
Performs other duties and related tasks as requested by the Corp.

Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
One year of experience in accounting/finance.
Preferred:
Previous health care experience.
