Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team.
As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and performing various accounting tasks.
The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a solid understanding of financial principles.
Duties:
- Manage all aspects of the company's financial records and transactions
- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial documents
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Maintain general ledger accounts and perform journal entries
- Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial information and support decision-making processes
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks to record and track financial transactions
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in using accounting software (e.
g.
, Xero, QuickBooks)
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial report writing, and bank reconciliation
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of governmental accounting standards is a plus
- 10-key typing skills
