Overview:
First National Bank of America is growing and adding an organized and analytical Internal Staff Auditor to the Audit team.
The ideal candidate will possess above average attention to details, concern for the exact correctness of work, and strong commitment to tasks completed on time.
The Internal Staff Auditor conducts independent, objective reviews to ascertain departmental adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory mandates.
This role’s efforts will uphold organizational operations to the highest standards, employing a systematic and disciplined approach to scrutinize and assess the effectiveness of operational processes and controls.
Job Type: Full-time
Location: On-site in our East Lansing, MI office
Responsibilities:
Perform operational, compliance and financial audit testing
Communicate testing results clearly to stakeholders, fostering understanding and collaboration
Perform follow up review of prior audit findings
Assist in testing of financial statement controls
Attends training and workshops as necessary to increase professional and technical knowledge in the audit area
Qualifications:
Prior experience in Accounting or Financial Services is a plus
Proven verbal and written communication skills
Active listening skills
Possess an analytical mindset with a sharp eye for detail to identify risks and discrepancies
Demonstrated professional curiosity and desire to learn
