*Responsibilities*
* Develops and implements long-term and day-to-day organizational and departmental policies and procedures in conjunction with the Vice President of Finance.
* 2.
Responsible for the management, financial accountability, quality service, and work assignments for Accounting/Box Office Coordinator, Accounts Analyst Administrator, Accounting Associate and payroll functions for the HR/Payroll Coordinator.
* 3.
Responsible for the accurate, timely management and oversight of box office functions/events while adhering to policies and procedures based on event needs.
* 4.
Responsible for accurate payroll calculations and projecting in conjunction with scheduling, while adhering to applicable policies, bargaining agreements and employee manual.
* 5.
Manages the accurate preparation of event settlements.
* 6.
Manages the planning, organizing, scheduling, assigning, monitoring, analyzing and correcting all work assignments of the Accounts Analyst Administrator, Accounting/Box Office Coordinator, Accounting Associate and HR/Payroll Coordinator(payroll functions) at the Lansing Center and sponsored, managed/produced events and properties.

Oversees and participates in the interviewing, hiring, training, and management of Finance staff in accordance with established guidelines and procedures.
* 8.
Oversees the development, ongoing improvement, and implementation of formalized training and education programs for the Finance staff in conjunction with the Vice President of Finance.

Conducts performance evaluations for subordinate personnel.
* 10.
Manages subordinate employees in consultation with the Vice President of Finance in accordance with organization and departmental policies, guidelines, and procedures.
* 11.
Assists in supervising the disbursement of funds, while adhering to established controls to ensure budget appropriations are met.
* 12.
Monitors expenses and implements corrective action when revenues do not meet forecast.
* 13.
Works effectively with local bargaining stewards and business agents ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
* 14.
Develop, maintain, coordinate and act as liaison with outside organizations, vendors, city departments, private firms, customers, financial services contractors.
* 15.
Oversees purchasing procedures to ensure compliance with purchasing policies.
* 16.
Participates when applicable in meetings to discuss planning and execution of upcoming box office events as well as participate in the review of completed box office events; including departmental and pre and post con meetings.
* 17.
Liaison with outside organizations, vendors, city departments, code officials and private firms to facilitate communication and coordination of financial internal planning.
* 18.
Assists in maintaining standard operating procedures for the financial accountability of all facilities and produced/sponsored events.
* 19.
Attendance and/or travel may be required for meetings held off site.
* 20.
Assists in evaluating existing financial policies and procedures and recommending improvements.
* 21.
Supervises and participates in monthly financial statements using Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP).
* 22.
Participates in and conducts meetings when necessary for and outside organizational meetings.

Works effectively with local bargaining stewards and business agents ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
* 23.
Provide a safe environment free of harassment for employees and ensure compliance with all applicable OSHA standards and local, state and federal laws including the American with Disabilities Act of 1990.

Conduct regular meetings with subordinate staff to share relevant information and promote feedback relating to methods to improve service to ensure smooth coordination of department activities.

Review and recommend to Vice President of Finance, finance equipment, materials and services.
* 26.
Oversees the creation and maintenance of the financial booking and records to ensure that required documentation is compiled IN accordance with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), policies and procedures and State and Federallaws.

Position requires irregular schedules including evenings, and weekends and holidays.
The performance of work assignments may not be directly related to job specifications.
Adjustments of shifts, overtime, breaks, etc.
may be required upon short notice.

Knowledge and adherence to all administrative policies, procedures, rules, and programs as well as the same for the Finance department *Qualifications* * Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in accounting, business administration or related field.
* Management experience in the accounting field may be substituted at the rate of two (2) years experience for each year of college.
* Five (5) years progressively responsible management in accounting or finance facilities related operation, or combination of equivalent experience derived from a convention center, stadium, and/or other public assembly facility.
Job Type: Contract Salary: $65,000.
