This position is located in St.
Johns, MI.
Duties:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements
- Conduct audits of financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations
- Provide tax planning and preparation services for individuals and businesses
- Assist clients with estate planning, wills, trusts, and other legal matters related to finance
- Collaborate with clients to develop financial strategies and goals
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and financial regulations
- Provide guidance on technical accounting issues
- Support corporate finance activities such as mergers, acquisitions, and investments
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- CPA certification is required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts and principles
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
